PROJECTS: 3D Anatomy displayed through AR / high quality renders.

IDEA: An ‘image target’ (card) can be used with a mobile phone to display realistic 3D Anatomy in the real world, through the phone’s camera. This can be used for teaching students about different body parts and allows them to interact with the anatomy. Patients can also be shown the body parts by the Doctor in an appointment, or by the Hospital Staff Playteams before they have a scan of that specific part of their body.

MOTIVATION: A visual and interactive way for students and patients to gain a better perspective of the different anatomies of the human body. Can also be used for Surgical planning or during surgery

AR DVT Scan + Renders

Project for ThinkSono that looked at teaching people how to scan for DVT using US probe and their AutoDvt App. (3D character, bed and hand are downloaded assets).

Animated assets to demonstrate steps of a DVT Ultrasound scan.
Set-up the scene in Unity and built it onto Mobile AR. This was to get a sense of the 3D patient/bed scale for AR teaching in the real-world

 

AR African-style Hospital ward

-Art test for a company where I had to design an environment showing what an African-style Hospital would look like, for AR use.
Hospitals in Africa are less well equipped than western ones, often lack resources and look run down/cramped.
-The projects aim is to make children familiar with the hospital ward before they arrive, making them less anxious. The challenge I faced was making the environment realistic enough that it didn’t look too run-down/unappealing to the kids.
