Unity Terrain and Wind

Unity Terrain and Wind.jpgTo allow the tree meshes to be affected by the wind, I had to drag the tree in the scene first, and change the shader to “Nature>Tree Soft Occlusion Leaves / or Bark”.

I then created a ‘Terrain’ in Unity, dragged the images of the plants/grass/bushes into the terrain setting, and painted on the terrain surface. This placed the images on the surface. I also did this for the Tree, but as a mesh this time. I then added a ‘wind zone’, which only affects the tree meshes, as the terrain itself has a built in wind that affects the images for the plants and grass to move.
