Once I had the basis of the jellyfish look complete, I wondered how I could make it abstract.

To be honest, the hole in the middle of the jellyfish body was a mistake. The tutorial has the mesh as being closed up at the top, however for some reason, there was a gaping hole at the top of mine.

I then decided that I wanted to have something coming out of the hole, maybe an object of some sort or another sea-animal? I chose to have a ball, and then realised that it could be an eyeball. This helped me to develop my model from a jellyfish to an  eye. You will see why in the further development stages!
